Special Events

When a scheduled game completes, Digital Diamond Baseball examines the boxscore to determine if the game should be flagged as containing one or more special events.   The events that will be considered 'special' can be configured using the Special Event Options dialog.

Games with special events will be displayed in the Schedule Pane with an exclamation point (!) following the schedule line.  For example, in the screenshot below you will notice an exclamation point after a game played on 6/17/80.

Unlike many other games, Digital Diamond Baseball can tell you what the special events were for a game without you having to open the boxscore.  For example, in the figure above you can quickly tell what event was triggered during the the 6/17/80 game between the Expos and the Giants (LeFlore stole four bases!)
